Trapping Moles in the January Cold
I've mentioned previously that wintertime is NOT a good time to trap moles, but over the past few winters, I haven't been able to stop myself!
When there's a stretch of warm weather during the winter months, moles tend to remind us that they're still around, ready and willing to destroy our yards.
We've had warm weather lately, and a new client contacted me about setting some traps, so I decided to help him out.
His yard had lots of tunnels, so we set about 15 traps. Within just a few hours, we made our first kill!
I'm not sure how many moles are in his yard right now, but it's possible that this particular mole was the only one doing damage, at least for now. Of course, we reset the traps, hoping to kill a few more, but once the ground freezes again, it's best to pull up the traps and wait until there's warmer weather.
