Winter is Upon Us

This poor sucker is the 36th mole I've killed in my yard this season. My yard looks great, because few moles make it past my perimeter. That's what my system is all about...perimeter management. My perimeter management system also stresses hunting while the ground is soft, such as in the spring and early fall. Unfortunately, it's getting cold in Ohio. That means frozen ground and an end to mole hunting until next spring.

People often ask me what I do with the moles I trap. I know this sounds horrible, but I throw them in the street! This poor sucker is lying in the street, waiting for a bird to pick him up and carry him away. I find that it usually takes just about 15 minutes! Circle of life...

Have a nice winter. I'll post again in the spring.
