Reset That Trap!

This picture shows a dead eastern mole next to one of his tunnels. If you walk your yard's perimeter frequently, you'll likely discover fresh tunnels, and those are the tunnels to target. I killed this guy two days after setting a few traps on a fresh tunnel.

Although I'd love to push down that tunnel, that wouldn't be the wisest thing to do. After trapping a mole, you can be 100% confident that you've found an ACTIVE tunnel. How active is it? You never really know, until you reset your trap and wait.

I always reset my traps in exactly the same place I just killed a mole, and I FREQENTLY kill multiple moles from that same location. If a week or two goes by and you see no mole activity, then pull up your traps and push down any tunnels you see.
