Husband and Stepfather
When I married Rhonda, I was lucky enough to get Sharon (and now Piper!) free of charge. Without a doubt, that's the best deal I've ever made. We have an extremely close, very special little family.
Just a Good Ol' Boy...
Although I'm a city-slicker, I've grown accustomed to living on a small horse farm, where I've found that rural life suits me pretty well. A day on my tractor beats a day at the office, and playing with my chain saw beats teaching statistics (although it's pretty fun to teach statistics).
Professor of Psychology
For the past 24 years, I've been teaching in the Department of Psychology at Ohio University Zanesville. Although I teach general psychology and social psychology, I teach statistics and research methods courses more than anything else. Most of my research nowadays focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Check me out on Google Scholar.
Mediator
About 24 years ago, I started mediating for the Zanesville Municipal Court. After a few years, I moved to the Muskingum County Court, and now I'm a freelance mediator. It's not easy to get disputants to agree on a mutually-acceptable solution, but I'm pretty good at it. As a trained social psychologist, I have several Jedi mind tricks that I can use to help settle disputes.
Aspiring Entrepreneur
When I grow up, I'd like to have a few businesses going. I'm fascinated by the idea of passive income, because it's nice to make money while you sleep. That's why I'm most interested in rental properties and web-based businesses, such as my YouTube channel, called The Frank Show.
